DATA RECOVERY
Recovering data from disks or partitions with a damaged file system
If we know that a damaged file system is the cause of the problem and additionally contributed to the disk's disappearance, then we should follow the article written earlier:
-> Recovering data from lost partitions
A damaged file system is the cause of many problems. It can contribute to the aforementioned disk disappearance (the disk may be visible as RAW), loss of file entries (entries responsible for where the files are, what they were called and what attributes/properties they had), which often leads to a disruption of the directory structure.
If a disk with a damaged file system is visible, StrongRecovery after selecting it (opening it) will analyze it initially and based on the analysis, it will select the file system that was damaged (it will select the necessary parameters to access the original disk), if possible.
If the program is unable to determine the file system, the following window will appear:

This window will also appear after right-clicking on the disk and selecting "Settings" from the menu. We have several options in it, we can indicate the previous file system, if it has been changed, if not, we can enhance the scan by selecting options 3, 4. The last option is useful when reading data at the beginning of the disk is very difficult and causes significant slowdown or makes it impossible to analyze the medium.
